Cleaning in the Dishwasher
Dishwasher-safe porcelain can be cleaned conveniently – provided a few important points are observed:
• Remove coarse food residues before washing to prevent clogging the filters
• Always position heavily soiled surfaces facing the water jets
• Place larger items in the lower rack, smaller and more delicate items in the upper rack
• Ensure that your tableware stands securely and does not touch – this prevents scratches and chipping
• Do not overload the dishwasher and make sure the spray arms can move freely
• Select the appropriate wash program depending on the level of soiling
• Use detergent, rinse aid, and salt according to the manufacturer’s instructions
• Open the dishwasher slightly after the cycle to allow moisture to escape
• Start unloading with the lower rack to avoid dripping water

• Villeroy & Boch produces various decorations using the so-called Inglaze process – making these precious metal decorations fully dishwasher-safe

The term “dishwasher-safe” means that porcelain can withstand a certain number of wash cycles (1,000 cycles at Villeroy & Boch) without damage. However, there is no universal standard defining exact durability. Gentle care therefore significantly extends the lifespan of your tableware.
